The first auto parts store at the current Bumper to Bumper location opened in 1961 and an auto parts business has continually operated at this location since that time.

In 1978, Hans Ostergaard purchased Les’s Auto Supply from Les Smith and continued the Bumper to Bumper brand in Fort Nelson.

In 1987, Graham Prouse and Owen Shilling became partners with Hans and on June 1, G. and O. Supply Ltd. was born. Hans left the company in late 1988 and the Prouse/Shilling partnership continued until 2001, when Owen left to explore other opportunities.

In May 2001, Wes Mould came on board as a partner and continued with the company until May of 2010.

The company continues today under the Bumper to Bumper brand, which has been part of the Fort Nelson business community for over 35 years.
